I had some work done on my boatr this winter and am now without a deck compass as I had the permanently fixed one removed.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a favorite deck comapss they use?
How much? and where to buy? would be appreciated as well.
Thanks

I have the basic one that MEC sells for about $50. I like the fact that I can position it anywhere I want and can also remove it for occasions when I leave my boat upside down - it fastens onto the deck lines with bungees. It's easy to read, keeps reasonably steady and is fairly durable, being in a rubber mount. It's also accurate, as I checked it against a friends's calibrated compass. Good enough for me!
