Purchasing a Kayak
My son and I are interested in purchasing a light touring kayak that will be used mostly for inland water ways of Ontario with the occasional overnight trip. We also want to use the kayak on Georgan Bay and Lake Simcoe which tend to be choppy. We are novices at kayaking but have used the canoe for many years. I am in my 60's and my son is 15.
Can you recommend a brand and model of kayak for us. When necessary,we would like to be able to have it repaired by professionals and not have to do it ourselves.

Stan I am looking to purchase a Kayak for the occaional overnight trip and to use on inland lakes in Ontario and Georgan Bay. I am in my 60's and my son will be 15. We are novices to the kayak but have done considerable canoing. weight is important as I have had a hip replaced.Does anyone have a suggestion as to the make and model of Kayak I should be looking at?
