August long weekend - Niagara River paddle confirmed! Monday 10:00am

Thinking of paddling this weekend, looking for ideas/inspiration/company.

Required specs: relaxed couple hour paddle in relaxing conditions. Was thinking of doing a Niagara River float down stream. Launch @ Queenston and follow the lazy river down to Niagara on the lake (about a 10K run). Anyone tried this before?

I'll check with the boss and WX before firming up details.

July 10/11 Paddle

Hi all;

I thought I would throw this out to see if anyone wants to join up for a paddle on either Sat the 10th or Sunday the 11th or both?

Place, well I was looking down Kingston way but I am very flexible i.e. Southern Ontario!!! The reason for Kingston was to check out some of the wrecks by Pt Frederick (RMC) and the St Lawrence.

Canada Day Fireworks Burlington Beach

Why not join us for the 2nd. Annual (!) Traditional (!!) Canada Day Fireworks paddle on July 1st (weather permitting). Meet at Burlington Beach, near the changehouses, around dusk. Fireworks are usually around 10pm. Cruise out toward the fireworks for an excellent display! Bear in mind, Marine Police are on patrol, so have lots of reflective gear, A LIGHT and no alcohol! What better way to celebrate?! :grin:
