Long Point Nature Tour

Long Point is a 40 Km long sand spit that juts out into Lake Erie, and is recognized as a World Biosphere Reserve by the United Nations. It is an excellent location for birdwatching, as well as an ideal spot to see a wide variety of aquatic plants and amphibians. During this day long trip we will wind our way thorough the "rush forests" on the inner bay side of the spit.  An ideal trip for beginners or nature enthusiasts as along the way we will work on birding skills, paddling technique and leave no trace principles.
Who better to lead this tour than our very own Mike Allen.  Mike holds a degree in Biology and has spent time as a professional birdwatcher.  Mike will help you discover the beautiful and majestic wildlife that hides in amongst the rushes and help you improve your bird identification success on this gem of a paddle.

Bring a lunch and enjoy it on the shore over some great conversion and learn some leave-no-trace ethics at the same time.
