Booking & Cancellation Policy

To hold your place on a course or trip please call learntokayak.ca at 1 (905) 399-1216. Payment for half the total cost of the course is taken to reserve your place, with the second half of the payment due 30 days prior to the start date of the course.

Cancellation Policy

As you can see, all of our instruction courses have a limited number of spots available and we do have to turn people away once our classes are full. Due to this, we can't refund or reschedule within 30 days unless a suitable replacement is found. If you have to cancel we will try to find someone to take your spot for you. If we can fill your spot, or for cancellations of 30 days or more in advance, a full refund less a $35 office fee will be charged.

In the case of pool courses, as the pool overheads are so large and numbers so limited we are unable to refund course fees that are cancelled within 7 days of the session date. Longer than 7 days we will try to slot you in on a different date. Full cancellations are refunded if notified more than 7 days prior, less a 10% transaction fee.

Our cancellation policy must apply even in the event of a medical problem or family circumstance. We will do everything possible though to fill your vacant spot for you.

We reserve the right to cancel or alter any trip due to weather or insufficient registrations. In these cases, full refunds will be issued.
