Paddle Sunday May 9th: Cherry Beach to Tommy Thompson Park

Anyone up for a paddle out of Cherry Beach on Sunday May 9th?

The plan is to launch from Cherry Beach at 10:00 am on Sunday. The weather report is for 40% showers which is far better than what they have to say for Saturday! The plan is to explore the Tommy Thompson Park area across from Cherry Beach. If we are too exposed due to wind we can always change things up and cross the eastern gap and paddle up the inner channel of the Toronto Islands group. Bring along a lunch and any chocolate treats you want for the organizer. At this time of year a dry or wet suit is recommended to protect you in the event that you chose to go for a swim.

All are welcome. Please leave a note on this post so we know who to expect. If you indicate that you are planning on attending and run into any issues, eg. being late, give me a call on my cell and let me know.

I may be able to make it after all. Both my younger brother and mother seem to bein bed with food poisoning. Will know tonight whether or not the planned Mother's day brunch is a go or not. Will advise later today or text tomorrow morning.

Winds: 15-24 km/hr

Conditions look challenging but manageable. Within the park area we will be on smaller bodies of water and will be less effected by the winds and waves. We can always change our plans and cross the Eastern Gap and paddle up the inner Toronto Islands channel if we want. As a group we can decide at Cherry Beach.
