Hells Ya!! I'll go for a paddle and sushi with you any day Carla!
Woohoo! Paddling season is starting again!!! Unlike all you crazies, I go cross country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter ;0) But I miss my paddling! So count me in! James says he's coming too even though he can't stand sushi. I guess that means he can't stand being away from me more than he can't stand sushi ;0)
See you sooooon!!!!
Hey by the way I was talking to Tom-the-Paddle-Guy, and he said it's a really cool paddle up the Jordan river? The one where the big old ship is at Prudhommes? He said you can put-in there and paddle up the river to see some really cool old bridges or something. It's a sheltered paddle too if the winds are high that day....not that I'm saying anything about high winds and strong currents on the Niagara River or anything like that......

Hey Carla,
So I'm with James on the whole Sushi thing but will certainly make it for the paddle, I'll put the call in to the Coast Guard before I leave home, should save some time later in the day! Looking forward to it.

I'm in for the paddling and the sushi. Maybe we can have them boil it into oblivion for our British friends ;) I'll be driving from Milton if anyone wants to carpool.

No thanks on the sushi but in for the paddle.
Brian, us Brits prefer our fish battered and FRIED.

There has to be a real fish and chip shop over there somewhere, Alan can bring his own Haggis.

Maybe a compromise is in order.....do they serve beer and chocolate at the sushi place?

If it's a decent fish and chips place it will proudly serve haggis

Tempura and beer is just like fish and chips. I'm not sure there is a Japanese equivalent to haggis though.

OOOOOhhh I see that Sushi Jade is on the Canadian side:

I was under the impression that we were paddling over to the US side for some food.
Seems like the reviews of most of the fish and chip places in Niagara suuuck. They need a thistle branch down there! This one seems the best.

I'm hoping to come too on the 19th and will be game for any meal. Terriyaki is always an option for the gastronomically challenged.

Hey Brian, that would be great - have you got room on your rack for my kayak? I'll drop you an email with my address. I know the location of the launch, we went from there last year.
So looking forward to this paddle!

We had a nice paddle up one of the nearby creeks to avoid the wind. Here are some pics, and a video of James and Craig attempting to roll the new double kayak.
