Hello! Please join us for this year's Kayak for a Cure. All funds in this event go to Cancer Research in Ontario. Last year we had a great time, great weather and a great group of paddlers, who together, reached our fund raising goal of $5000.
This year we're game to do it all again, because it's amazing what kayakers together can accomplish!
Hope you'll join us.
For more info on this event go to www.kayakforacure.org
or email, ontario@kayakforacure.org.
James and Dympna, Thank you! for Learn to Kayak's support again, this year!
Hope floats in 2010 in Mississauga!

Murat, a Toronto-based paddle maker and artist, has made a very generous donation of a paddle to auction in support of Kayak for a Cure. Murat’s work can be seen plying the waters of Ontario as well as being featured in museum exhibits.
This blind auction is for an Adirondack guide paddle made from two different shades of walnut with a Barred Owl on the blade.
A true work of art.
Please email your bid to Ontario@kayakforacure.org
Check out other works at www.paddlemaking.blogspot.com and the paddle being auctioned, which is at the bottom of the blog.

A very big thank you to everyone who paddled, supported and generally sent well wishes. We had 16 paddles on the water, raised almost $8,000!!! The cancer fund raising site is still open for sponsorship if you have some spare change that you want to put to a great cause.
I can only speak for myself, but based on the smiles and laughter, I think that everyone had a great time. See you all again in 2011! Hope Floats.

There is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats. The Wind in the Willows
