Women's Scarborough Bluff Paddle
Post Women's Scarborough Bluff Paddle
by CARLA on 06/13/2010 18:49

I am hosting a women-only (lesbian AND straight...but gay-friendly) day-paddle at the Scarborough Bluffs on July 17 (rain date July eighteenth). This is intended to be a leisurely paddle that is all about fun, friendships, relaxation and diverse conversations. Bring a meal and beverages for an unhurried beach lunch. Launch time is 10:30 a.m.

Dude, and I think you are a dude, you will either have to speak to David Donaldson about special requirements or you will have to undergo gender reassignment. You might want to speak to David.

For some reason I really don't know if that is a conversation I want to have with Mr Donaldson. And option B, well as fun as that result may be, not sure I want to go that route either.

Hey Carla, sounds like a pile of fun, but unfortunatly I have a friend visiting from Florida and have promised to spend that day with her...and she doesn't paddle, though I keep trying!

Post Wish I could come!
by Dympna on 06/16/2010 12:42

Hi Carla,
I would have been all over this paddle except we're running a yoga sea kayak trip that weekend. I'm really interested in having a women's paddling group. I'm considering having some women only skills clinics as well. I find that sometimes women like to learn without the men hotdogging around! (No offence to all of you wonderful male paddlers!)
So next time you have one if I'm around I'm definitely in, especially in the spring and fall when I'm not so busy. If there's enough interest I'll work on getting some women only clinics on the schedule.
Thanks, see you on Friday! Woohoo! Should be fun!JOOBB_SMILEYCOOL

There is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats. The Wind in the Willows
