One of the reasons we at learntokayak.ca paddle is to explore the majestic beauty of our natural surroundings. In Canada we are luck enough to be surrounded by an unbelievable amount of trees, lakes, rocks and wildlife, without which paddling wouldn't be half the experience that it is. To give back to our struggling environment and to help make developing countries as lucky as we are in Canada, we have opted to plant ten trees per course, trip or clinic that you attend.
Since 1989, Trees for the Future has been helping communities around the world plant trees. Through seed distribution, agroforestry training, and our country programs, we have empowered rural groups to restore tree cover to their lands. Planting trees protects the environment and helps to preserve traditional livelihoods and cultures for generations.
