I am looking at buying a bent shaft carbon paddle this season and I am trying to decide between lendal or werner. Any thoughts?

Just a note - I bought a Current Designs bent shaft carbon fibre paddle last year and absolutely love it (you'll never go back to a straight shaft again!) BUT it has one major flaw. The lever lock adjustment sounds great in theory - you can adjust the length as well as the feather angle - but in actual fact, after a few uses, the screw keeps loosening. It's never come apart on my suring a paddle but only because I tighten it every time I go out. So pou might want to think twice about any paddle with this type of connection. I still love the paddle though...and if anyone has any suggestions how to fix this problem, I'd love to hear them!

I have the same paddle as Dorothy, the Current Designs bent/crank shaft paddle. Don't like the lever lock, same problems that she has. Not a huge fan of the paddle all in all. Wanna buy it?
Much prefer my Lendal straight shaft. I may also get a crank shaft for it. Lendal is great that way, you can intermix the paddle blades and shaft lengths and styles.
Nothing beats my Greenland stick though. Fo the money I paid for it, versus the other two paddles, it has paid for itself numerous times.

I have the Lendal bent-shaft and the padlock system they use is great. I've never had one loosen on me in any conditions so far.
I like the heft that Lendal has, the Werners felt wierd being so light. YMMV.

Haven't checked if there's a For Sale section yet, so I'll put this up:

I have a Lendal bent-shaft Switchlock 210cm shaft for sale.

Cheers,
Goni.
