Drysuite hood or no hood

I'm thinking abou getting a drysuit and was wondering if other kayakers prefer to have a hood or no hood?


I was looking at the Kokatat Expedition and the Meridian. They seem to be very similar with the exception that one has a non removable hood.

Do you find the hood useful or does it get in the way?

I have a hood (expidition) and love it. Other than obvious protection and sun shade the hood is great when practicing rolling by keeping water out of the ears.
