Bob Casement and I are camping at Mew Lake in Algonquin Park from November 9-12. We intend to paddle (Opeongo?) and hike (Track and Tower?) while we are there. This trip will appeal to photography buffs as Bob is bringing his camera equipment. I intend to book a tent site today. If you are interested get back to me and I will provide an arrival time and tent site number. Any takers???

Yup, just as I suspected, Mew Lake has stopped taking reservations for the season. They have returned to "first come, first serve" with payments made at the little kiosk at Mew Lake. The park should be pretty empty in November so acquiring a site won't be a problem. What I cannot tell you, however, is what site we will be on so if you want to hook up with us get in touch and we shall look out for you upon your arrival.

Hey Carla:
I'm busy working on getting the time off and collecting blankets.
If you promise to keep the wind and waves to a minimum , I'll be there.
I have your e-mail from the Navy Is. post and will ask all the important questions there.
Let me know if this trip is a go and where to meet.
